Employee Assistance Program
The Fund has partnered with the Lower Hudson Valley Employee Assistance Program ("LHVEAP") to administer the Plan's Employee Assistance Program ("EAP") for Mental/Nervous Disorders & Substance Abuse benefits.
The EAP is an enhancement to the Fund's mental health and substance abuse benefits. The EAP provides an Active Member, Pre-Medicare Retired Member, or Eligible Dependent with the opportunity to access assistance from trained personnel by telephoning the EAP offices at a toll-free number, at any time of day or night. The EAP may provide counseling sessions for a specific situation.
If longer-term treatment is appropriate, the EAP may refer you or your Eligible Dependent to an outside facility and expenses of that facility and the other providers affiliated with that facility, whether or not they participate in the Aetna PPO, will be considered for coverage under the Plan's Mental/Nervous Disorders & Substance Abuse Benefits.
