Hearing Aid Benefits (For Active Members)

The Plan pays 100% of the charges for examination, fitting and molds, along with 50% of the cost of hearing aids, provided that you use this benefit no more than once every four years. In order to be covered, benefits must be received at the University of Connecticut Speech and Hearing Clinic.

If you are an Active Members whose primary residence is outside Connecticut, the Plan pays 50% of the reasonable cost of Medically Necessary hearing aids, up to $1,000 for one such aid or $2,000 for two such aids, provided that you use this benefit no more than once every four years.
